We are currently waiting to hear if one of our recent jobs will make the shortlist for Commercial Vehicle Graphic of the Year in the prestigious British Sign and Graphics Association Awards.
Find out more about the unique project which could be up for the coveted prize.
Background into the job
At CJ Signs we create a range of high-impact branding pieces for clients and no job is too niche. We pride ourselves on creating innovative and bespoke pieces for a host of projects such as this: from fleets of minis, to transit vans and even internationally – recently working on two G55 models bound for the USA. For other clients including Autoworld we can turn round graphics for new finance deals and promotions in just one week.
We have worked extensively with Ginetta cars for over five years and are regularly approached by them and the drivers who run their own teams to do the vehicle design and wrap in preparation for the race calendar.
Richard Hibbert owns a race team and his son Tom is a racing driver who takes part in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup which was televised in June at Oulton Park. They came to use because of our established relationship with Ginetta and our ability to work efficiently, meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and because we have the skills and expertise to deliver a complex design project like this with ease.
Richard and Tom came to us in April with a request to take the design of his custom hand-painted helmet and replicate this onto his car for the race weekend just 6 weeks away. The project was entirely unique and a new concept for both Richard and Tom and for our team too. We had no brand guideline and as a result, working on this project, we knew we had the capabilities to deliver the project on time and that it would be a ‘head-turner’ once complete.
From the start our role in this project was clear. Although we had the helmet to follow the artwork, we were responsible for taking this small design and transferring it to a large scale which would fit the curves and lines of the Ginetta car whilst also looking a true reflection of the helmet itself.
What the customer said
“Working with CJ Signs was a great experience, from discussions about the design to wrap install itself. They were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had recommendations in the trade about CJ Signs and knew they would deliver. We did look at two other signs companies but decided on CJ purely on reputation.
We expected a high standard from the start, but they did exceed our expectations in the design and also in their overall customer care and communication which was excellent. All costs and project plans were explained clearly so no hidden surprises or problems occurred.
What impressed us the most was that they never faltered, despite us changing our minds on design. They just simply got on with it and made it work. Ultimately there are a great team to work with and we happily give them 10/10 for the results and how we were treated. Thank you CJ Signs for making Tom and the car stand out on the grid.”
